About Us

Hendricks Elite FC (formerly Tri-West Youth Soccer Club) was created in the early Summer of 1995 by Mrs. Staci Williams, Mr. Kell Miles, and Mrs. Tammy Miles.  The conversation started in the bleachers between Mrs. Staci Williams and Mr. Kell Miles while watching their sons play little league baseball.  They went on to become the first president, vice president, and secretary of the club.  Mrs. Lisa Slater became the first treasurer of the club, a position she held until the Fall of 1999 when Mr. Duane Wardle assumed the position. They organized several parents of the kids that were in the age range of their sons and started with U6, U8 & U10 teams. Per Mr. Kell Miles, they started the club because there was no soccer presence in the Northwest portion of Hendricks County, and the kids that did play rec or rec plus played in either Brownsburg or Danville.

Mr. Don Moreland, of North Salem, made the goals for 6u, 8u, and 10u that were used at the North Salem Elementary School.  Mr. Billy Slater made the 6u & 8u goals and another club donated 2 sets of old 10u goals, and these were used at the Pittsboro and Lizton locations.

That first season started in the Fall of 1995, and saw 64 kids play at the 6u, 8u & 10u levels of rec soccer.  The games were rotated between the Pittsboro and North Salem Elementary schools and the Lizton First Baptist Church with 3 game weekends at each location.  Beginning the Fall of 1998, all games were moved to the Pittsboro Elementary School.

Tri-West joined the WCSSF in the Fall of 1997 and fielded 3 teams: 12u boys, 12u girls, and 14u boys. One of the teams finally won a game during the 3rd season with a record of 1-89 over the first 3 seasons. TWYS has come a long way since its early days!

A Tri-West 12u boys team earned a berth in the WCSSF tournament's final 4 for the first time in the Spring 2004. In the Fall of 2004, both the 14u boys and 14u girls teams won the tournament with the 12u boys team coming in 4th place.  The 12u girls team played travel that season, so all 3 Tri-West rec plus teams placed in the final 4 of the tournament.

Due to not having any USSF Certified Referees and no time to develop 12u and 14u fields, the rec plus teams played home games at the Brownsburg Soccer Club fields for the Fall of 1997 thru spring of 1999, and then moved to Danville Soccer Club fields for the fall of 1999 and spring of 2000 seasons.  Beginning in the fall 2000 season, the club added a 12u field at the Pittsboro Elementary School complex and a 14u field at Pittsboro’s Scamahorn Park. When the Pittsboro Primary School was built in 2007 the TWYSC fields were relocated behind Tri-West High School.

The WCSSF started a U25 short-sided league in the summer of 2011, now known as "Adult" Open.  Tri-West had 2 teams during the inaugural season and at least one team every summer since.  The club became a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in November 2000.

In 2023, Tri-West Youth Soccer Club became Hendricks Elite FC to represent the diverse group of athletes that compete in our club each spring and fall from the surrounding communities.
